Warranty Policy
Warranty Policy
Effective Date: 4 October 2026
At Tarps For You, all products purchased from our website include a 12-month warranty, subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions set out below.
This Warranty Policy explains the coverage provided with products sold by Tarps For You and the process for submitting a warranty claim.
1. 12-Month Warranty
All products sold by Tarps For You include a 12-month warranty beginning on the date the product is delivered to the customer.
The warranty applies to defects in materials or workmanship that occur during the warranty period when the product is used and maintained in accordance with its intended purpose and any applicable product instructions.
2. What the Warranty Covers
The warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that affect the product during normal and intended use.
Where a covered defect is confirmed, Tarps For You may, depending on the circumstances:
-
Repair the affected product or component
-
Replace the affected product or component
-
Provide another appropriate remedy
The appropriate remedy will be determined after reviewing the reported issue and the circumstances of the warranty claim.
3. Custom-Made Products
Many Tarps For You products are custom made according to customer-selected dimensions, configurations, materials, mounting options, and other specifications.
Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing and confirming their measurements and selected specifications before an order is submitted for production.
A custom-made product that has been manufactured according to the confirmed order specifications is not considered defective solely because the customer later decides that different dimensions, configuration, or options would have been preferred.
This does not affect any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
4. What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The 12-month warranty does not cover damage or problems resulting from:
-
Improper installation, mounting, or securing of the product
-
Incorrect measurements or specifications supplied by the customer
-
Improper use or use outside the product's intended application
-
Misuse, abuse, neglect, or accidental damage
-
Improper handling, storage, or maintenance
-
Unauthorized alterations or modifications
-
Damage caused by mounting hardware, structures, equipment, or accessories not supplied by Tarps For You
-
Normal wear and tear
-
Cosmetic changes that do not affect the product's function
-
Damage caused by failure to follow applicable product or installation instructions
-
Damage caused by environmental conditions or events outside our reasonable control
The warranty does not guarantee that a product will be suitable for an application or installation that differs from the specifications and intended use represented on the applicable product page.
5. Installation and Mounting
Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are properly installed, mounted, secured, and used for the intended application.
Where a product includes or offers mounting options such as grommets, snaps, twist locks, pockets, or other fastening features, the selected configuration should be appropriate for the intended installation.
Damage resulting from improper installation or securing of a product may not be covered by the warranty.
6. Warranty Claims
To submit a warranty claim, customers should contact Tarps For You using the contact information provided on our website.
The following information may be requested:
-
Order number or proof of purchase
-
Customer name and contact information
-
Description of the reported issue
-
Date the issue was first noticed
-
Photographs showing the product and reported issue
-
Additional information reasonably required to evaluate the claim
Providing clear photographs and information about how the product was used and installed may help us assess the claim more efficiently.
7. Warranty Claim Review
After receiving the required information, Tarps For You will review the reported issue to determine whether it falls within the warranty coverage.
We may request additional information, photographs, or other reasonable evidence before making a determination.
If a covered defect is confirmed, we will communicate the available remedy to the customer.
If the reported issue is determined not to be covered by the warranty, we will explain the reason for the determination.
8. Returns for Warranty Service
Customers should not send a product back for warranty service unless Tarps For You has instructed them to do so.
Where a return is required to evaluate or resolve an approved warranty claim, Tarps For You will provide the applicable return instructions.
9. Custom Product Measurements and Specifications
For custom-made products, customers should carefully verify all dimensions and specifications before submitting their order.
Tarps For You is not responsible for incorrect measurements or specifications provided by the customer when the product has been manufactured according to the confirmed order details.
If a product is manufactured differently from the specifications confirmed for the order, customers should contact us so that the issue can be reviewed under this Warranty Policy.
10. Warranty Period
The warranty period is 12 months from the date of delivery.
A warranty claim should be submitted as soon as reasonably possible after the customer becomes aware of the issue.
Warranty coverage does not automatically restart or extend for a new 12-month period following a repair or replacement unless required by applicable law or otherwise stated by Tarps For You.
11. No Automatic Coverage for Third-Party Components
Where a product is used together with mounting structures, hardware, equipment, accessories, or other components supplied by another party, the Tarps For You warranty applies to the Tarps For You product itself and does not automatically provide warranty coverage for third-party products or components.
12. Statutory Rights
This Warranty Policy does not exclude, restrict, or replace any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Where applicable law provides additional rights or remedies, those rights continue to apply.
13. Product-Specific Information
Additional product information, specifications, installation requirements, or warranty information may be provided on individual product pages.
Where product-specific warranty information provides additional coverage, that information will apply together with this Warranty Policy.
